Where Is the Model Number on a Wolf Oven?
Every Wolf oven carries its model and serial number on one plate, and that plate only shows once the door is open. Where it sits depends on the series. Find yours in the table below, or call Wolf Repair Bellevue, (425) 629-0033, with the door open and we will talk you to it.

Open the door all the way
The plate sits on the oven frame, so it is hidden whenever the door is shut. On a double oven, open the lower door first — that is where the newer ovens keep it.

Built-in or range?
A built-in oven sits in the wall or a cabinet with no burners above it. A range has burners on top and the oven below, and its plate is in a different place again.

Copy the whole line
Write down every character, slashes included: SO30PM/S/PH and SO3050PM/S/P look alike and are different generations. The serial number on the same plate matters too when a part is ordered.

Take a photo of it
A sharp phone photo of the plate saves reading it twice and settles which letters are which. It is also what the booking page asks for.

If the oven is a range
On a Wolf dual fuel or gas range the plate is at the foot of the control panel, far right, and again it only shows with the oven door open. The older R Series gas ranges are the awkward exception: their plate sits under the left-hand burner pan, where no owner should be prising at a gas range to reach it. Leave that one to the visit — the range’s width and what its top carries narrow the model down on the phone.
What to do with the number
Take it to the next page, which turns the letters into a series, or straight to the phone. With the model number in hand, the likely parts can be looked up before anyone sets out.
Common questions
- The plate is worn, painted over or missing. What now?
- Look on the original invoice, the installer's paperwork or the product registration, which usually carry it. Failing that, a photo of the control panel and the door front narrows it to a series. Wolf Repair Bellevue, (425) 629-0033, can tell you which pages here fit before a visit is booked.
- Is the serial number the same thing as the model number?
- No. The model number names the design, such as a 30-inch M Series single oven in the Professional style. The serial number identifies your one oven and is on the same plate. Both help when a part is ordered, since a part is matched to the serial as well as to the model.
