Older Wolf R Series Gas Ranges: Are Oven Parts Available?

Wolf built its R Series gas ranges from 2002 to 2014 and no longer makes them. Some oven parts for them can still be had and some cannot, and only a lookup against the range's serial number says which. What fails on it
- Oven burner that will not light The oven is switched on but its burner never catches, or catches late. Switch it off rather than retrying; the cause needs finding first.
- Temperature drift The oven gets hot but bakes noticeably hotter or cooler than it is set to, a sign the part governing its temperature has aged.
- Weak or patchy broil Broil gives uneven heat or none at all, while ordinary baking still works.
- Door hinges and gasket The door drops open or no longer closes tight, so heat escapes around its edge. Wolf advises leaving door removal to service.
A plate under the cooktop
Later Wolf ranges carry their plate at the foot of the control panel. The R Series keeps it under the cooktop instead, on the left side wall of the burner box, which puts it behind a burner pan — not a place to go prising things off a gas range.
Leave the top alone and let the visit read it. Two details narrow the model a long way on the phone in the meantime: the range’s width, and what the top carries besides burners.
Why the answer is “some”
Wolf stopped building the R Series in 2014, so its oven parts depend on what remains in supply, and nothing is promised over the phone. The visit finds the failed part first, whether it is the ignition, the temperature control, the broiler or the door.
That part is then matched to the serial, and you get either a figure or a plain “not available” before any work. Where it cannot be had, you still leave knowing what failed, which is the fact any decision about a replacement rests on.

- Which plate tells me my R Series model, and where is it?
- The rating plate is on the left wall of the burner box, under the leftmost burner pan — not somewhere to go digging on a gas range. Describe the range to Wolf Repair Bellevue on (425) 629-0033 instead, and we narrow the model down with you and confirm it from the plate on the visit.
- Is an R Series range still worth repairing?
- When a single part has failed and it can still be matched to the serial, usually yes, because a new range is a far larger outlay. When the oven and the cooktop are both failing, or the part is no longer listed, replacement deserves a serious look, and you hear that plainly after the $89 diagnosis.
- Can I light the R Series oven by hand in a power cut?
- No. Wait for the power to come back. With the supply off the oven will not start, and there is nothing to be done at the range itself in the meantime.
