Wolf DO30PM Double Oven: One Cavity Down?
DO30PM/S/PH 30-inch built-in double oven Built 2015–2023
When the upper or lower oven of a DO30PM quits and the other keeps going, the fault usually sits inside the cavity that stopped. Wolf Repair Bellevue, (425) 629-0033, tests that oven's own parts on the $89 visit and says whether the working one is fine to use meanwhile.

What fails on it
- Bake element, one cavity That oven warms weakly, or only on broil and convection modes. Elements carry no set band here and are quoted after the diagnosis.
- That cavity's sensor Upper and lower each have their own temperature sensor, so one can read true while the other drifts or drops out.
- Convection fans Each cavity has a left and a right fan. One grinding or stalled fan leaves convection bakes patchy in that oven only.
- Door lock after cleaning Each door has its own motor-driven lock. If one stays shut after its clean cycle has cooled, leave it alone and call.
- Supply or shared control When both ovens misbehave at once, the breaker is checked first and then the control that runs the pair.
One oven down, or both?
Wolf’s own troubleshooting pages for this generation name the heating parts twice over, once for the upper cavity and once for the lower. That is why a single cold oven is normally a single-cavity repair: its element, its sensor or one of its fans.
If both went at the same moment, start at the breaker panel. Wolf’s own first step for an oven that does nothing is to confirm that power and the home circuit breaker are on. Only with the supply proven does the shared control come into question.
Before the technician arrives
Note which cavity failed, what it was doing at the time and whether a clean cycle had run recently. Then open the lower door and look low on the left of the frame: the plate there carries the full line, DO30PM/S/PH, and the serial number.
Common questions
- Can I keep using the top oven while the bottom one waits for a part?
- Usually. The DO30PM's two cavities have their own sensors, elements, fans and door locks, so a failed part in one leaves the other working. The exception is a fault in the power supply or the shared control, which can take out both. Wolf Repair Bellevue, (425) 629-0033, tells you which case you have on the visit.
- Is a double oven diagnosis charged twice?
- No. The $89 service call covers the visit and the whole diagnosis, whichever cavity turns out to be at fault, and it is credited when you go ahead. Each failed part is then priced from its band, or quoted after the diagnosis if it is an element, and you see every figure before work begins.
