What fails on it
- Sensor reading off Food takes longer than the recipe says, or catches early, while the oven insists it is exactly where you set it.
- Element burned through Heat seems to come from one direction only, or the oven crawls toward its setting and stalls there. Elements have no set band and are quoted after testing.
- Convection fan tired Convection modes cook patchily or slowly while plain bake stays closer to normal, often with a new rattle or hum from the back wall.
- Control not calling for heat A temperature is set, the cavity stays cool and the elements test sound. This is checked last, once the cheaper parts are cleared.
Measure first, then look for the part
A DF366 that seems off is heated and read against a separate probe in the middle of the cavity. If the probe and the oven agree, the complaint is usually about moving air or a leaky door, and the fan and gasket come next.
If the two disagree, the sensor is tested before anything else is touched, because it is the cheaper answer and the more common one.
When a burner misbehaves as well
The burners on top burn gas and the oven below runs on electricity, so they fail independently. A burner that refuses to light in the same week the oven drifts is a second fault, not a clue to the first. Both can be looked at on one visit, and each gets its own quote.
